Hi, I’m Heather and my counselling practice focuses on helping individuals through bereavement or loss of loved ones.
I primarily work with clients in one on one counselling sessions as well as facilitating bereavement support groups.
Life can feel painful and overwhelming at times; perhaps you are feeling anxious or depressed; maybe you've experienced a significant loss, or facing a difficult time of change or transition. Perhaps you are struggling with low self-esteem or finding relationships painful and confusing. During these times, it can be helpful to talk to someone who can support you, and help you to find your way through this difficult time.
I work with young people (16+) and adults. I provide a safe, confidential space where you can give voice to your feelings. Here, we would explore what is troubling you, and how your past might be influencing the present. In the context of a warm and caring relationship, you would feel heard, supported and strengthened so you can gain better perspective and make the changes which might be needed.
I understand that it can feel daunting to start therapy, however my aim is to work at your pace. This is your space; my role is to come alongside you, and to support you to find your way through what is troubling you.
